Fork to Launch New Happy Hour

Fork Happy Hour Philadelphia Distilling Company

On Thursday, February 22, Old City’s landmark Fork restaurant will debut their new Happy Hour menu when they host Philadelphia Distilling Company for a lively evening of hand-crafted spirits and cocktail education. Starting at 6 p.m., representatives from Bluecoat Gin and Vieux Carré Absinthe will be on hand to discuss the distilling process and serve up hyper-local drinks. Fork’s boundary-pushing cocktail program has long paid tribute to classic cocktails, as well as intensely seasonal drinks, and they incorporate local artisanal spirits as much as possible. Guests can sample the following drinks at the bar all evening, all priced at only $8:

  • The Last Word, with Bluecoat Gin, Green Chartreuse, Maraschino Liqueur, lime juice

  • Lillet Martini, with Bluecoat Gin, Lillet

  • Chamomile Sour, with Barrel-aged Bluecoat Gin, chamomile syrup, lemon juice, egg white

  • The Long Road, with Bluecoat Gin, Vieux Carré Absinthe, lemon juice, bitters, fresh herbs

Executive Chef John Patterson will also be featuring a few special dishes to pair with the cocktails, including:

  • Black Bass Crudo, with fennel, jalapeno, pickled cranberries ($8)

  • Winter Salad, with bitter greens, dates, blue cheese, sesame cracker ($7)

  • Lamb Carpaccio, with sauer kohlrabi, maitake mushrooms, hazelnuts ($9)

Fork’s new Happy Hour menu will be available daily from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. after February 22, with rotating $8 cocktail specials and discounted wines by the glass and bottle. Fork is located at 306 Market Street in Old City.
