Porta Unveils Newly-Designed Mezzanine

A Night On The Mezzanine

Porta Philadelphia is launching their newly designed second-floor Mezzanine with a preview party. On Tuesday, July 31, from 7 to 9 p.m., Porta invites you to celebrate “A Night on the Mezzanine”. This first look at the Mezzanine is free to attend and includes passed wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment. Cocktails will be provided by Naked Grouse, Remy 1738, and Benham’s Gin. QC Shrubs will also be debuting their brand new natural fruit flavors like apple, blackberry and grapefruit.

The massive Neapolitan pizza restaurant is approaching their one year anniversary in Midtown Village and has put the finishing touches on the semi-private space. The Mezzanine is creatively and flexibly suited to host an array of events from birthday celebrations to professional networking events, rehearsal dinners, or even intimate wedding parties.

The Mezzanine looks out over Porta’s main dining room, Fancy bar, and custom, Italian-made pizza ovens. Its lounge-y vibe is punctuated by cozy, high-backed dining chairs in rich purple. Above the sleek, modern bar hangs antique gold mirrors, and the bar itself is surrounded by low-back bar stools with gold details. The walls are adorned with additional mirrors, as well as European classic paintings, modernized by graffiti and applied art. A skylight keeps the Mezzanine bright during the day, while exposed bulbs offer a warm, romantic glow in the evening.

The Mezzanine at Porta Philadelphia features a fully stocked bar with seating for 20, and the room itself can hold up to 80 guests. There is a television seamlessly hidden in the cedar wall panelling when not in use, as well as a hidden projector for large viewing parties. The Mezzanine is available to reserve for private events, and will serve as overflow seating in the fall. Porta Philadelphia offers several table packages and event options.
