Bluestone Lane, a purveyor of premium cafe experiences with 6 locations, will open its first store outside New York in early November 2015 at the historic Warwick Hotel located in the heart of Rittenhouse Square at 1701 Locust Street Philadelphia.
Inspired by Founder, Nicholas Stone’s, home café culture of Melbourne Australia, Bluestone Lane combines premium coffee with wholesome, clean and health-orientated breakfast and lunch options that have been received with critical acclaim.
Bluestone Lane was launched in New York City in June 2013 and is regarded as one of New York’s finest specialty café artisans, as documented by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Zagat, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, Harper’s Bazaar and the Food Network. Bluestone Lane was selected by global homewares brand Williams-Sonoma Inc. as the brand collaborator for their Open Kitchen homewares range. Bluestone Lane counts celebrities including musician Taylor Swift, actors Cameron Diaz, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker and author, Malcolm Gladwell as regular customers.

Bluestone Lane Rittenhouse Square will offer a comprehensive menu and table service proposition modeled on the flagship Bluestone Lane Collective Café found in West Village New York. The menu will feature signature dishes including Avocado Smash topped with tahini, heirloom cherry tomatoes, feta, sunflower sprouts & e.v.o.o, Coconut Quinoa Porridge topped with cashew cream, sliced almonds, and mixed berries, and gluten-free Banana Bread topped with fresh ricotta, toasted pecans, banana and drizzled with organic honey.
Bluestone Lane Rittenhouse Square will feature custom powder-coated La Marzocco espresso coffee machines, serving Bluestone Lane’s signature coffee blend created in partnership with fellow Melbourne-Australia roaster Niccolo Coffee.
Stylishly designed by Julia Sullivan, Creative Director of Caswell Design Group, the space will leverage the iconic landmark features of the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, whilst providing a clean, light, and minimalist aesthetic. The center bar will offer an interactive barista experience with bench stools wrapping the bar and window benches, with extensive seating offered at the rear of the space.
Bluestone Lane plans to open multiple locations in Philadelphia throughout 2015-2016.
