Barcade, the popular arcade bar at 1114 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month. To mark the milestone, the longtime neighborhood hangout is throwing an anniversary party on Sunday, October 11, 2026, featuring family-friendly activities, food-and-drink specials, and an impressive lineup of craft beers.

And after 15 years in Fishtown, the concept clearly has staying power.

A Fishtown Fixture Since 2011

When Barcade opened its Philadelphia location in 2011, Fishtown was a very different neighborhood.

The area was beginning its transformation into one of Philadelphia’s most popular destinations for dining, nightlife, music, and entertainment.

Barcade was among the establishments that helped introduce a new generation of visitors to the neighborhood.

The concept itself was relatively novel at the time: combine classic arcade games with a thoughtfully curated selection of American craft beers.

Rather than filling the space with modern redemption games and flashy prizes, Barcade focused on preserving the arcade experience many people remembered from their childhoods.

The result was a bar where friendly competition, nostalgia, and socializing became part of the appeal.

Today, Barcade operates locations in several major cities, including two in Philadelphia. Its second Philadelphia location is in Center City.

Classic Games Meet Craft Beer

Barcade’s formula has remained remarkably consistent over the years.

Guests can enjoy a rotating selection of vintage arcade games and pinball machines, with titles representing different generations of gaming.

A 15th Anniversary Celebration

To celebrate its milestone, Barcade Fishtown is inviting the community to join the festivities on Sunday, October 11, from noon until 2 a.m.

The celebration begins with an all-ages Family Day from noon to 5 p.m., giving parents a chance to introduce their children to the arcade games they may have grown up playing.

The festivities will also feature food and drink specials throughout the day.
