Casablanca Mediterranean Grill, a new Mediterranean and Moroccan take-out eatery and grocery store, opens on Tuesday in the space formerly occupied by Bitar’s for 50 years at 947 Federal Street.
While it’s hard to imagine Bitar’s no longer at this location, I think the new owners did a nice job of making the space their own and styling it in a cozy Moroccan motif. The menu features many familiar Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, very similar to Bitar’s menu, so it should be a seamless transition food-wise.
