Heytea Opens in Chinatown

Heytea Philadelphia in Chinatown is now open

Heytea, the originator of new-style tea and the brand that reinvented tea for a new generation, will make its Pennsylvania debut on August 14 at 1001 Arch Street, Philadelphia. Located in the heart of Chinatown, the new store will bring heytea’s seasonal and classic tea drinks to the neighborhood’s vibrant community, marking the latest step in the brand’s continued U.S. expansion.

Founded in 2012, heytea pioneered the new-style tea category with thoughtfully composed, made-to-order drinks centered on freshly brewed tea and other high-quality ingredients. Since opening its first U.S. location in New York in 2023, the brand has built a loyal following, particularly among younger consumers, for its inventive drinks and design-forward visual identity. When heytea teabar opened in New York this June, guests waited up to five hours to try its store-exclusive menu items.

“Philadelphia’s diverse community and vibrant food culture make it a natural next step for heytea,” said Weiqun Wang, Regional Store Operations Supervisor at heytea. “We chose Chinatown for its proximity to universities and major city destinations, as well as its role as one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic culinary neighborhoods. We look forward to introducing more Philadelphians to heytea.”

The Philadelphia store will offer heytea’s seasonal and signature lineup of drinks, spanning fruit tea, matcha, Teamix, and other tea creations, along with merchandise exclusive to the location. Featured drinks include:

Heytea milk teas (provided)
  • King Jasmine Snowcap Milk Tea, heytea’s newest seasonal launch, featuring the brand’s signature nine-scented King Jasmine tea, milk, with a hand-whipped snowcap foam and roasted pecan pieces. “Nine-scented” means the tea leaves are scented nine rounds with more than 5,000 fresh jasmine blossoms for every 500 grams of tea, creating floral, fruity, and creamy notes in each sip.
  • King Jasmine Guava, a seasonal Teamix that pairs King Jasmine tea with red guava, real milk, and a handcrafted guava cloud.
  • Triple Supreme Matcha Latte, a multi-textured matcha drink featuring matcha cloud, hand-whipped matcha mochi, matcha jelly, and finely milled matcha.
  • Coconut Mango Boom, made with freshly cut mango blended with coconut milk, freshly cooked sago, and coconut milk jelly, with an oat milk option now available.
  • Kale Boost Tea, a refreshing and healthy blend of freshly pressed kale, jasmine green tea, green grape, lemon juices, and chia seeds.

The Philadelphia opening comes as heytea continues to grow across the U.S., with the brand on track to reach 61 locations nationwide by the end of 2026. But fast expansion is not heytea’s end game. What comes first is the brand’s commitment to continually exploring what tea can become and sharing daily inspiration through inventive drinks and a playfully refined brand experience.

From August 14 through August 16, the store will offer a buy-one-get-one-free opening promotion.
