Bitar’s is Closing After 50 Years

After nearly 50 years in South Philly, Amin & Jude Bitar are proud to announce that Bitar’s is refocusing the scope of its business by adjusting to 21st century realities.

“Our 10th & Federal Street home has been sold and we are taking the summer to rest and visit Lebanon — seeing my homeland for the first time since I was 10 — and checking out new food trends,” says Amin.

The final day at Bitar’s 10th & Federal will be June 3rd. Amin and Jude are reminded on the occasion of this announcement that they owe it all to their parents Elias & Marietta who came here from Lebanon and started the world acclaimed business that Bitar’s has become.

“When we return with a TBA new location, we’ll be offering the best of Bitar’s in an innovative new format. And we promise no one will go hungry!

Stay tuned for those details as soon as we have them!
