Side Project Jerky Introducing Cheesesteak Jerky on National Cheesesteak Day

Side Project Jerky, born and bred in Philadelphia, is bringing back one of its first flavors – Cheesesteak Jerky – after a six-year hiatus, and officially releasing it on National Cheesesteak Day, Friday, March 24th.

In what Founder Marcos Espinoza is calling his “edible tribute to the City of Brotherly Love,” Side Project Jerky’s new and improved recipe includes flavor notes of cheddar cheese, garlic, onion, and black pepper.

To commemorate the (made-up) holiday, Espinoza will be offering samples at Vincent Finazzo’s Riverwards Produce between 2 and 5 p.m. on March 24th , and there will also be bags for sale inside the market located at 146 N. Bread Street in Old City.

Side Project Jerky, a local brand based just outside of Philadelphia in Lafayette Hill, PA develops unique jerky flavors with local chefs including the likes of Jen Carroll (Carroll Couture Cuisine, Top Chef), and Jonathan Adams (Rival Bros Coffee Roasters).
