Chef Ari Miller’s Musi BYOB served its final dinners inside the Pennsport restaurant space in late October, but is now playing host to other chefs popping up for their own culinary initiatives.
Chef Emily Horner, formerly the sous chef at Musi, Cicala at the Divine Lorraine, Amis, and Brigantessa, is hosting her “Breadily Available” popup on Saturday and Sunday, November 19-20, and November 26-27, which will feature a variety of square pizza pies available for pickup and delivery between 12 and 8 p.m. Additionally, Musi will be making 25 FrizWit cheesesteaks per day which will also be available for pickup and delivery.
Horner brings with her many years of experience in working with 100% sourdough. The South Jersey native, who has called South Philly her home for the past couple of decades, brings her passion for dough to life with Breadily Available, a side project dedicated to naturally leavened loaves.
Square pies cost $22, and slices, which come with a salad, cost $10 apiece. The menu includes a red square pie (tomato sauce, mozzarella, nepitella), and a white square pie (mozzarella, provolone, broccolini). Both pies will be finished with Royer Mountain, PA “Parmesan,” and Enzo olive oil, with an option to add house-made pork sausage. A vegetarian citrus Caesar salad of radicchio, butter lettuce, and fennel will also be available. All ingredients are sourced from local farms and small businesses.
There will be 25 pies available each day for same-day online orders, with several more available for walk-ins. Ordering and more information can be found at http://frizwit.com.
