Bagels and Co. is about to take over Philadelphia with a citywide expansion that will see six new bagel and coffee shops expand to six new locations. Glu Hospitality and co-owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu announce that the popular Northern Liberties-based bagel, coffee, lunch and deli shop will now open new locations in Fishtown, Brewerytown, Temple Campus, Rittenhouse, Midtown Village and Center City.
Bagels and Co. Fishtown will grand open this Friday, November 18th, with a free bagel and cream cheese giveaway between 8:00am to 10:00am and no purchase necessary. On Saturday, November 19th the grand opening continues with free coffee from 9:00am to 11:00am.

On Small Business Saturday, on Saturday, November 26th, Bagels and Co. will offer a free $10 gift card when you purchase a $50 gift card, plus a free small hot/iced coffee when you show your receipt ($20 or more) from shopping in a local small business in Fishtown, Kensington or Northern Liberties.
All Bagels and Co. locations offer a dozen bagel options with seasonal specials as well. For cream cheese, Bagels and Co. boasts one of the city’s largest line-ups with 20-24 at the ready at nearly all times during regular hours. Bagels and Co. also offers vegan and gluten free offerings, non-dairy spreads, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee drinks, baked goods, deli items, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, fresh juices, frozen non-alcoholic beverages, salads and other cafe items.
The from-scratch Brooklyn-style bagels are soaked in water to make them puffy and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They had custom fabricated steam ovens made just for Bagels and Co.
Bagels are only $2.00 each for standard bagels, and $10 for a 1/2 dozen and $18 for a full dozen. Bagels with cream cheese selection are $4.00 each. Bagels and Co. has held the prices during the pandemic so prices remain the same as the first day the Northern Liberties shop opened.
Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available and made-to-order upon customer request and a pre-set menu of signature sandwiches. Bagels and Co. proudly serves Boar’s Head Deli Meats. A sample of sandwiches includes The Classic for $9.00 with lox or whitefish, cream cheese, tomato, onion and capers. BEC for $8.00 includes bacon, egg, cheddar, salt, pepper and ketchup. PB Banana for $7.00 includes peanut butter, banana and bacon. On the lunch side, look for a Turkey, Ham or Roast Beer and Swiss Sloppy Joe, The Cuban, Grilled Cheese, Jerk Turkey, Italian, Caprese, Reuben, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, and Egg Salad. The 2nd Street for $10.00 features pastrami, muenster and deli mustard. All sandwiches can be made with any bagel on the menu. Look for neighborhood inspired sandwiches in each new Bagels and Co.

Each location that opens will have an exclusive sandwich specialized and inspired for each neighborhood. For the Fishtown location, the Fishtown signature exclusive lunch sandwich will be the Frankford Ave – and it will feature jerk turkey, pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and chipotle aioli – served on a choice of bagel or bread. The exclusive Fishtown breakfast sandwich will feature choice of bagel, beyond sausage, just egg with choice of vegan cheese.
These join the Second Street lunch sandwich in Northern Liberties, which features chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomato, bacon, mozzarella, mayo and red wine vinegar, and the No Libs breakfast sandwich which features choice of bagel, with fried eggs, provolone, pickled onions, tomato and lemon aioli.

D’Amico Coffee roasting blends were designed exclusively for Bagels and Co. Coffee beverages include the standards with a tight menu of well-done drinks – including coffee, espresso, double espresso, cappuccino, latte, matcha, iced coffee, iced latte, iced matcha, red bull cool, Nitro cold brew and more. Coffee by the bag is also available for sale, as are Bagels and Co. merchandise, and grab-and-go market items, beverages and more.
Bagels and Co. was a pandemic pivot for the hospitality company that was known before 2020 as experts in the nightlife, entertainment, game day and bottle service space. They have now grown to become one of Philadelphia’s largest growing hospitality and restaurant groups, with Vesper Center City, Leda and the Swan, Bagels and Co., Figo Ristorante, Figo Pizzeria, Set NoLibs, Anejo Philadelphia, Izakaya by Yanaga, Omakase by Yanaga – with six additional restaurant and bar concepts to come in late 2022 and early 2023. They will also take another of their brands from ghost kitchen to brick and mortar later this year. More to come on that.
Hours for Fishtown and Northern Liberties are 7:00am to 3:00pm, seven days a week.
