Urban Farmer Beer-BQ with Cartesian Brewing

Philadelphia, PA — Urban Farmer, Philadelphia’s “rustic chic” modern American steakhouse, is partnering with Cartesian Brewing, East Passyunk’s taproom and brewery, for its upcoming iteration of Beer-BQ, an outdoor beer festival featuring beer infused barbecue, live music, yard games, and more.

The Beer-BQ will be held on Thursday, August 25th from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Beer and BBQ lovers are invited to join Urban Farmer on the patio, overlooking Logan Circle and the beautiful Swann Memorial Foundation, for an evening celebrating local brews and beer-focused BBQ. Guests will also enjoy live music, courtesy of Call Me Felix, while playing lawn games.

Urban Farmer’s grill masters will be turning out BBQ dishes made with beer from Cartesian Brewing, including:

Applewood Smoked Beef Brisket ($20), generously mopped with Foundrist Stout Kansas City BBQ sauce

Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Skewers ($22), served with a One Night, Seven Days Kolsch Style Ale butter glaze

Pork Baby Back Ribs ($20), in a Stratospheric Ambitions Hazy IPA glaze

Smoked Chicken Wings ($18), marinated in Saison Blonde French Saison brine and spiced with espellette

The dishes will be available separately à la carte and as a platter, The Beer-BQ Board ($55), accompanied by cornbread, baked heirloom beans, house bread, coleslaw and butter pickle. In addition to the beer-y BBQ, all the beers used in preparation will be available on draft.
