Kiddo Preview at Wilder

On Monday, August 7thWilder will host its second “with Wilder” collaboration featuring a preview of the coming-soon restaurant, Kiddo. For this one-night-only event guests will enjoy a five-course dinner prepared by Kiddo’s chef-owner Wyatt Piazza. Guests may also enjoy supplemental drink pairings from Wilder’s beverage manager, Tom Brander.

“Our upcoming dinner with Wyatt and his partner Elizabeth Drake of Kiddo is what this series is all about,” said Brett Naylor, co-owner of Wilder. “Our goal is to foster connections, meet and support new members in the hospitality industry, reconnect with old industry friends, share the latest in Philadelphia’s growing food with our guests, and have some fun while doing it.”

For the evening, Piazza, a chef alum of Oloroso and A Mano, has curated an exclusive menu offering diners a sneak-peek of Kiddo. At Kiddo, Piazza’s menu will serve as a canvas to showcase the agricultural bounty of Pennsylvania, leaning on seasonal produce for his vegetable-forward cuisine.

Dishes for the preview event may include (menu subject to change): Melon, Cucumber, and Yellow Beets with red onion, hyssop, and white balsamic; Tomato Carpaccio with salsa verde and hard sheep cheese on grilled focaccia; Corn and Goat Cheese Mezzelune with zucchini, sweet peppers, and pickled shallots; Pork Tenderloin with plums, fennel, mustard seed, and walnuts; and Apricot and Brown Butter Galette with maple ice cream dessert. Wilder’s Brander has created a few cocktails and mocktails to complement the menu.

“Elizabeth and I are really excited to bring Kiddo to life this fall and share our vision with the community,” says Piazza. “This series is an awesome opportunity to collaborate with the talented team at Wilder and give folks a taste of what’s to come. We hope everyone will have a great time and come visit us once we’re live on 12th and Pine Streets.”

Tickets are extremely limited and may be purchased here for $85 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

The “with Wilder” events are designed to connect hospitality professionals to each other and the greater Philadelphia community. There is another series installment in the planning stages for later this fall, plus a few other fun events outside of the series including a Basque wine and pintxos class and a Winter Solstice dinner.

Wilder is located in Rittenhouse Square located at 2009 Sansom Street.
