Square 1682, the modern American upbeat kitchen located on the ground level of the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, is holding a Dad’s Hat Cocktail Class on Wednesday, June 28 from 6pm – 7pm in partnership with local distillery Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey.

Led by Dad’s Hat Marketing Manager Len Boris, the class will teach attendees how to mix up three craft cocktails, all utilizing Dad’s Hat spirits, as well as providing pairings with small plates courtesy of the Square 1682 culinary team.

“Here at Square 1682, we strive to engage with and promote our very talented local purveyors both in our food as well as our ever-evolving bar program,” said Qamara Edwards, Director of Food and Beverage at Square 1682. “Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey is a truly Pennsylvanian brand that makes fabulous spirits, and we’re thrilled to be working with them on this event and (hopefully) plenty more in the near future.”

Imbibers attending this cocktail class can expect to craft three whiskey-forward tipples, ideal for whipping up at home as a nightcap or for hosting guests at holiday gatherings and summer soirées, including the Sazerac composed of Dad’s Hat Vermouth Finish Rye, caramelized simple syrup, Peychauds Bitters, and absinthe rinse, Blackberry Smash fashioned with Dad’s Hat Pre-Prohibition Style Rye, lemon juice, simple syrup, blackberries, and mint, and Espresso Martini comprised of Dad’s Hat Classic Rye, coffee liqueur, amaro, cold brew, agave, and freshly grated nutmeg.

Each craft cocktail will be accompanied by an elevated hors d’oeuvres, paired perfectly by the culinary team at Square 1682. Tickets are $90 per person and can be purchased via OpenTable
