Chef Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon of Kalaya will be everywhere in 2022

If you follow the Philadelphia food scene closely, you’ll know the name Chef Nok or have at least heard of Kalaya Kitchen and Kalaya Thai Market. If not, please come out from under your rock. Kalaya is a James Beard Foundation Award nominee and was named Best New Restaurant by Esquire. Kind of a big deal around these parts.

As exciting as those awards are, TV is now calling. Not only will Chef Nok be feeding Phil Rosenthal in an episode of Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil, she will also be featured on a new Cooking Channel show hosted by Ted Allen called Where Chefs Eat along with fellow celebrity chef Michael Solomonov.

Don’t forget she’ll also open a second Kalaya in Fishtown next year, too.

2022 is going to be a very good year for Chef Nok and she deserves it.
