Chefcipes.com is a just-launched online platform and directory that helps chefs and restaurants create video and written cookbooks and sell them to foodies and home cooks. Users get recipes from some of their favorite chefs and restaurants as a means of supporting them, helping to provide revenue during a very challenging time for chefs and restaurants.
Users can build their own custom cookbook from participating chefs and restaurants, one recipe at a time, rather than buying an entire cookbook. When they purchase a recipe, it is automatically added to their personal cookbook section.
Chefcipes.com will help restaurants provide an alternative stream of revenue during these unprecedented and uncertain times, by selling their recipes online. Users will be able to attempt to re-create the meals from their favorite chefs and restaurants and know that they’re helping during the economic downturn which is affecting the hospitality business so hard right now.
Chefcipes.com is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Chris Lamarra from Coatesville, PA and Mark Rybarczyk from Kennett Square, PA. They were going to wait to launch this new venture in a few months but decided to drastically pivot and launch now in order to help chefs and restaurants during this stressful time.
“We have a lot up our sleeve in terms of future plans for Chefcipes,” says Lamarra. “We dropped all of them, last Thursday when we realized how bad a shape everything was going to be for the Independent Restaurant Owner and their staff. We knew we had to get a product to market as quickly as possible that could help generate revenue for these hard-working chefs and restaurants.”
Furthermore, they will be donating a portion of the recipe sales directly to the employees of the restaurants that choose to participate. It’s a win-win for everyone!
