White Dog Cafe Partners with Justin Jean Pajamas for 31st Annual New Year’s Day Benefit Brunch

Make your New Year’s resolution for more pajamas, pups and partying!

The three White Dog Cafe locations have partnered with Bucks County based Justin Jean Pajamas to help raise funds for Alpha Bravo Canine which provides trained service dogs to U.S military veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and other combat related disabilities.

The New Year welcomes the 36th anniversary of White Dog Cafe and three decades of their annual New Year’s Day Brunch that invites guests to come to brunch in what they wore to bed! Even the team members at the White Dog Cafe locations will be adorning pajamas as they serve you your first meal of the New Year. New Year’s Day Brunch is offered at all three locations from 9AM to 3PM.

Justin Jean’s owner Lauren Raja has created the PAWsome print pattern pajama especially for White Dog Cafe New Year’s Day Brunch and of course for dog lovers! Raja used the paw print of her 11-year-old Goldendoodle named Finnigan to create the pattern. Raja will host two pop up shops on December 9, from 11-2, at the White Dog Cafe Wayne 200 W Lancaster Avenue, Wayne (610-225-3700) and the other at the White Dog Cafe Haverford, 379 Lancaster Avenue Haverford (610-896-4556).

For those that cannot shop at the pop-up shops, Justin Jean Pajamas will offer free shipping and donate 25 percent of the purchase of the PAWsome print pajamas to benefit Alpha Bravo Canine December 1 – January 15, 2019. Shoppers should enter the code “WDC.”

Guests are encouraged to wear their Justin Jean Pajamas to the New Year’s Day brunch, take a photo and then share it on the White Dog Cafe’s Facebook pages to enter to win a White Dog Cafe gift card, pajamas and the chance to model with one of the Alpha Bravo Canine puppies in training and be featured on the Justin Jean website!

Justin Jean Pajamas was founded by Raja, a former Interboro and Council Rock School District teacher, after the unexpected death of her husband in 2014. As a way to keep busy and honor his memory and that of her beloved grandmother Mama Jean, Lauren began sewing. “Drafting an idea to incorporate Mama Jean and Justin together was my goal. I often said that Justin and my grandmother had the same heart. I kept thinking of a way to combine what Justin loved which included polka dot socks and what Mama Jean loved most – her grandchildren,” Raja explained.

The result was a line of loungewear/pajamas for women and children. Since the company launched in 2016, locals and celebrities alike have fallen in love with Justin Jean pajamas including Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Giudice and her four daughters.

Alpha Bravo Canine was founded by a mother and son team to help the local community of veterans. Jennifer Green, CPDT-KA is a certified dog trainer and Army wife, and her son Kevin Daly, USMC was deployed to Afghanistan twice with the 1st Battalion 8th Marine Regiment. Upon Kevin’s return home, they decided to combine their knowledge and experience of dog training and post deployment struggles to tackle these growing problems, and help to lower the suicide rates of US veterans by providing emotional and physical support with trained service dogs. Alpha Bravo Canine does not charge veterans for the training or the dog and in August 2018 the White Dog locations raised $25,000 at its Dining Out for the Dogs Event.

Reservations are encouraged for the New Year’s Day Brunch. The White Dog locations are: 379 Lancaster Avenue Haverford (610-896-4556), 200 W Lancaster Avenue, Wayne (610-225-3700) and the original at 3420 Sansom Street in University City (215-386-9224).
