The Taste Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine & Spirits is an annual event focusing on all things culinary and wine, liquor, and spirits. It’s typically held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, but this year it was hosted at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA this past weekend.
Celebrity chefs and personalities such as Top Chef’s Fabio Viviani, Wahlburgers’ Paul Wahlberg, Bar Rescue’s Brian Duffy, Chopped Champion and Hell’s Kitchen Season 14 Contestant Christine Hazel, NBA legend Isiah Thomas, Philadelphia Musician G. Love, and many others were on hand to present cooking demos and showcase products.
There was also a huge amount of vendors and exhibitions for food and cooking products, craft beers, fine wines, and distilled spirits. There was an impressive amount to see and sample. I felt like you get a lot for the ticket price at this event. You get to meet celebrity chefs, shop for all kinds of great products, attend seminars, eat, drink, and meet other fans of food and drink. It really was a great time!
The next event will be the Taste Lancaster Festival of Food, Wine & Spirits which will be held November 16-17 at the Lancaster Marriott Convention Center. Lancaster, PA is an up-and-coming foodie city. At this event, there will be a Food & Wine Pairing with Bill and Giuliana Rancic. That should draw a lot of people!
An event for Atlantic City is in the planning stages.
The Taste Gourmet Food Festivals are run by Chris and Dena Myers who do an incredible job getting the best food and wine vendors and organizing the event along with many sponsors. We highly recommend that you attend these events!
