Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar to Award One Lucky Winner Free Lunch for a Year

Cuba Libre Philadelphia Free Lunch

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at 10 S. 2nd Street in Old City District, is giving away free lunch for an entire year. One lucky guest will win a free Eat-A-Frita burger, paired with a Batido, or tropical milkshake, every week for a year. Anyone who visits Cuba Libre for lunch in January can complete an entry form to be placed into a random drawing, where a winner will be randomly chosen on February 1, 2018. Cuba Libre’s lunch menu is offered Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Frita and Batido prize can be redeemed once a week for a year.

Cuba Libre’s Eat-A-Frita burger can be ordered with one of five different patties — beef and pork chorizo, organic beef, turkey, tuna, or black bean and mushroom — each topped with a different sauce and a stack of shoestring fries, and served on a King’s Hawaiian® roll. Ten different toppings are available to add, ranging from Pineapple Guacamole Cubano to a fried egg or grilled portobello mushrooms. As is typical, the Eat-A-Frita is served with a Batido, or tropical milkshake made with fresh fruit, whole milk, and Franklin Fountain ice cream.

“There isn’t a more classic Cuban lunch pairing than a Frita and a Batido,” said Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot. “While the beef and chorizo burger is the most traditional, we’ve created something for everyone at Cuba Libre, and with so many different toppings to be added, plus shoestring fries on top, the Eat-A-Frita becomes a monster of a sandwich. The winner of the drawing will be one lucky guest!”

In addition to the Eat-A-Frita, Cuba Libre’s lunch menu, available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.,  includes several three-course offerings, called a Rápido Lunch, featuring a three-course chicken, seafood, or vegetarian meal starting at $13.50, with all three courses served at once for those on a tight schedule. The menu also features signature appetizers like Pineapple Guacamole Cubano, Levanta Muerto Seafood Soup, and a number of salads, plus traditional Cuban entrees like Ropa Vieja, Arroz con Pollo, and a Cubano sandwich.
