Update: An earlier press release incorrectly identified Sunday July 16th as National Gelato Day … in fact the official date is the day before Saturday, July 15th!
July is National Ice Cream Month and since 2014, as part of this celebration of frozen delights, National Gelato Day is celebrated on July 16. No where is this holiday being observed more vigorously than at Gran Caffe L’Aquila on Saturday, July 15.
International Gelato Champion Stefano Biasini, a partner at Gran Caffe L’Aquila will himself be celebrating American independence by offering the best of his award winning gelatos with friends and neighbors.
On Sunday, July 16th from Noon to 4:00 PM Stefano will be hosting a FREE Gelato sampling right out in front of Gran Caffe L’Aquila! Gran Caffe L’Aquila will also feature its first ever American inspired flavor: Cheesecake alla Fragola. Creamy homemade cheesecake infused with fresh strawberries made into an artisanal gelato.
And with the summer heat, the convenient 1716 Chestnut Street location and the large numbers of Gelato aficionados expected to visit, Stefano will be busy throughout the day replenishing the supply of the cool treat. Meet the worlds best Gelato maker and celebrate National Gelato day!
