The Deck at the Moshulu will debut May 17, 2017 offering dining, drinking and special events on the newly renovated decks aboard the Moshulu. Philadelphia’s own tall ship, Moshulu is the only tall ship in the world with a landmark restaurant.
Located on Penn’s Landing, The Deck at the Moshulu offers spectacular views of the river, the city skyline and of course the Ben Franklin Bridge.
The Deck offers lounge like seating on the open air Wheelhouse Deck and new open-sided bar. Conversation areas of blue wicker furniture with navy cushions and over-sized yellow and white stripe pillows are perfect for gathering with friends for cocktails and small bites. New automated retractable tent structures provide an open tented feeling while also protecting guests from the weather. Teak bars with marble bar tops offer a relaxed setting and even TVs.
The high top tables around the bars on the Bow Deck and Mid Deck will serve beer, wine and spirits as well as The Deck’s menu of specialty cocktails such as “You Old Sailor, You” prepared with bourbon, rum, cinnamon, grapefruit, and angostura.
If you prefer your cocktail frozen and on a stick, cool off with alcohol infused ice pops in flavors such as sparkling white wine, Cointreau with a mango and raspberry swirl ice pop or sparkling rose, St. Germaine with a pineapple and passion fruit ice pop.
The Deck will offer happy hour Monday through Friday from 5pm to 7pm featuring a special small bites menu and specially priced drinks. Dinner and Sunday brunch, will also be available on The Deck. Executive Chef Anthony Bonett has created a menu of items perfect for sharing including hand-rolled sushi, poke, the city’s best 10 oz. Prime Burger and Ribeye French Dip.
Guests will want to make sure they save room for The Deck’s signature desserts created by in house Pastry Chef Sandy Valentine.

The Tasty Shake – a Philadelphia-centric shake that includes; Bassetts Ice Cream, Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews, Tastykake Kandy Kakes, soft pretzels, whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
Or, for those that think pink, there is the Wild Thang strawberry shake that includes strawberry ice cream, vanilla orange cake, strawberry Kit Kats, pink caramel angle hair cake and vanilla whipped cream.
The Deck will feature yoga on Sundays from 10:30- 11:30 followed by brunch, there will be DJs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and special events and late night parties throughout the summer.
The Deck at the Moshulu is located at 401 S. Columbus Blvd., and will be open Monday through Friday, 3pm-10pm; Saturday noon to 11pm; Sunday 10am-2:30 for brunch and 3pm-10pm.
