Careme’s Restaurant at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts is the venue of choice for vegan fine dining in South Jersey.
Careme’s will open its doors to the public to celebrate the change of season during a Fall Celebration Dinner hosted by the American Vegan Society, 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, and Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Academy of Culinary Arts students, under the instruction of Director of Culinary Operations Bruce Johns of Marmora, and Chef Educator Joseph Sheridan of Somers Point, will prepare and present the meal.
The menu includes:

Roasted Eggplant Tapenade with Marinated Pepper Crostini

Baby Beet and Frisee Salad with Fennel Orange Vinaigrette

Farro and Chick Pea Fritter Croutons

Southern Fried Tofu with Whipped Potatoes

Wilted Garlic Greens and Southern Country Gravy

Stuffed French Toast with Maple Syrup Reduction and Spiced Stewed Fruit
Cost to attend the dinner is $36 ($26 for student and low-income).
