End of an Era: Mixto to Close After 26 Years

A popular Center City dining destination is preparing to serve its final meal.

Mixto, located at 1141 Pine Street, has announced that it will permanently close after 26 years in business. The restaurant’s final day of service will be Sunday, July 12, 2026, marking the end of a long run that made it a favorite for Cuban, Latin American, and Caribbean cuisine.

In a heartfelt announcement shared on social media, the Mixto team thanked its loyal guests, employees, and community for more than two decades of support. The restaurant reflected on the countless celebrations, family dinners, first dates, and special memories that took place within its walls, expressing gratitude to everyone who helped make Mixto a Philadelphia institution.

Known for its colorful atmosphere, award-winning brunch, handcrafted cocktails, and authentic Latin-inspired menu, Mixto has become a staple in the city’s dining scene, attracting both locals and visitors for generations.

As the restaurant prepares to close its doors, diners still have one last opportunity to experience Mixto before its farewell on July 12.

Thank you for 26 wonderful years, Mixto. You will be missed.
