After a decade in Fishtown, Kensington Quarters Restaurant and Raw Bar announced on its Instagram that it would be closing on Saturday, March 16. No reason was given, but from the post, they have “future plans” for the space at 1310 Frankford Ave.
I checked out Kensington Quarters during a Fishtown food tour I took nearly six years ago. The spectacular two-floor space consisted of the restaurant downstairs with an upstairs space for private events, demonstrations, and culinary classes. As Fishtown continues to evolve, its dining scene will, too.
I look forward to hearing from 13th Street Kitchens about the future plans for the space. Send KQ off on a high note, won’t you?
