Forîn at 2525 Frankford Avenue in East Kensington, sister concept to Forîn Cafe (2041 Coral Street), marks an expanded vision for partners Kyle Horne, Seth Kligerman, and Will Landicho offering an inventive European-inspired all day cafe experience with a robust craft cocktail program, house-made wine, and an evening culinary program, alongside daytime bites and coffee.
Forîn’s menu reflects the team’s global travels and experience in European café-style dining. The focus is on sourcing ingredients of the highest quality.
During the day, from 8 AM to 3 PM, guests can enjoy an array of bites, including the signature Breakfast Sandwich, served on a biscuit made in-house, with egg, sharp cheddar, and espresso-bacon jam. The early menu will rotate monthly, featuring parfaits, tartines (open-faced sandwiches), and assorted pastries.
At 4 PM, Forîn switches to an evening menu that encourages a convivial and shareable dining experience with savory small plates and a selection of delectable desserts. Forîn will be adding extended evening and brunch menus in the future.
High-quality coffee drinks, from drip to espresso and lattes, will be available all day, including a signature collaborative “Forîn Blend” created in partnership with Black & White Roasters from North Carolina — Forîn is the only outpost in Philadelphia to carry their products.
New for Forîn is the expansion into the alcoholic beverage realm. A craft cocktail program helmed by Partner Seth Kligerman, whose background spans food and beverage program development for brands like Kimpton Hotels, taps flavor profiles from the morning menu — think ube, pandan, Thai tea, and chaga — in eight unique signature cocktails.
Standouts include Memory Palace (chaga-infused gin, vanilla, tonic), On The Avenue (vodka, ube, matcha, bubbles), and a Forîn Citywide (Kenwood Lager + 3 oz pour of house honey wine).
Forîn’s opening will showcase an Ube Cider created in partnership with Philadephia cidery Hale & True Cider Co. and a Red Blend wine in collaboration with WAYVINE of Nottingham, PA, featuring art from local artist Kees Holterman.
Forîn will also serve small-batch honey and fruit wine, produced at an offsite Forîn winery in Olde Kensington which will be available in-house by the glass and bottle, along with house red and white table wines. Future collaborations in the beverage space will include Casa Carmen and Mural City Cellars.
Come spring, Forîn will be hosting several culinary pop-ups in-house. Partners include Atlantic City’s iconic Tony’s Baltimore Grill, Forsythia, Maketto from Washington DC, and Colbo out of NYC. Dates and menu specifics will be announced later.
