East Market to Host First Oktoberfest Celebration

Philadelphia, PA — To celebrate the famous Bavarian festival, Iron Hill Brewery, Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City and The Wayward are hosting East Market’s very own Oktoberfest along East Market’s Chestnut Walk space on Sunday, September 18 from 12-4PM.

Free for all to enjoy, Iron Hill Brewery, Canopy Philadelphia, The Wayward and East Market welcome tenants, residents, visitors, and locals alike to celebrate with German-inspired music by local favorite, Polkadelphia, traditional German fare with offerings by both The Wayward and Iron Hill Brewery culinary teams, beer and drink specials, a 360-degree photobooth experience, giveaways, games and more!

Oktoberfest will be anchored by a custom bar sponsored by Jim Beam centered on Chestnut Walk – serving highball cocktails by Jim Beam and Oktoberfest beers by Iron Hill Brewery with additional cocktail offerings by The Wayward. The Wayward and Iron Hill will simultaneously pop-up with two separate food tents, offering pay-as-you-go German-inspired fare.

To support Canopy Philadelphia’s initiative to support the local community and their charity of choice, Give Kids the World, they will be offering Shaved Ice (non-alcoholic and boozy options) with 100% of funds raised going to Give Kids the World Village. While enjoying your shaved ice, further support Give Kids the World, and purchase tickets for a chance to win a gift basket featuring Manatawny Spirits, Wayward Gin and several select bottle of wine.
