Old City is getting TWO new pizza shops

Does Old City need more pizza shops? A serious question is about to be answered this Fall when two more pizza shops open in the district.

The folks behind Oh Brother at 206 Market Street, home to “Old City’s best cheesesteak,” are opening a wood-fired pizza shop at 212 Market Street, next to Campo’s, replacing a previous burrito eatery.

In controversial news, the former Pizzarama, also formerly Gianfranco Pizza, at 8 North 3rd Street will become Olde City Pizza.

Not to be confused with Old City Pizza & Restaurant at 3rd and Arch, which has been in business for over 30 years. In fact, the owners of OCP have been very vocal on social media, making it abundantly clear they have nothing to do with this new place.

Specific details are sparse on both. The Oh Brother Wood Fired Pizza place should be opening soon-ish, serving 10″ artisanal thin-crust pizzas.

What do you think about more pizza in Old City?
