MANNA’s signature fundraiser “Main Course” returns on September 15th

On Thursday, September 15 the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) will host their annual premier event, Main Course, at Water Works by Cescaphe. In partnership with MANNA, Chef Chair Jen Carroll of Carroll Couture Cuisine, and James Beard award finalist and Chef Advisor Eli Kulp of High Street Hospitality will present some of Philadelphia’s best chefs and restaurants. 

During this one-night-only event, guests will enjoy an outstanding offering of Philadelphia’s finest cuisine, all while benefitting MANNA’s mission to provide medically tailored meals to those with a critical illness. The evening will also consist of entertainment from the band Jellyroll and a silent and live auction that will include items such as Omakase Dinner for 2 at Royal Sushi & Izakaya, the opportunity to co-host alongside Nicole Michalik for 92.5 XTU’s Afternoon Drive, and a private brewing and dining experience at award-winning Philadelphia-region craft brewer Conshohocken Brewing.  

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with such prominent chefs for an evening that will continue to benefit our mission of delivering nutritious meals and counseling to individuals battling critical illnesses,” said Sue Daugherty, MANNA CEO. “MANNA is fortunate to have the chefs and our sponsors shine a light on the power of food as medicine and to bring further awareness to the value of providing medically tailored meals to our neighbors who need them the most.”  

Chefs from a dozen different restaurants will prepare and showcase unique cuisines throughout the evening for guests to enjoy. Several of Philadelphia’s top chefs will be participating in this year’s Main Course, including Executive Chef Eli Collins (a.kitchen + bar), Chef Judy Ni (bāo • logy), Chef Roberto Gutierrez (Cescaphe), Chef Alberto Sandoval (Condesa), Chef Stephanie Willis (Everybody Eats Philly), Chef Khoran Horn (Guard House), Chef Ashley James (Di Bruno Bros.), Chef Christopher Curtin (Éclat Chocolate), Chef Tova du Plessis (Essen Bakery), Chefs Omar Tate & Cybille St. Aude-Tate (Honeysuckle Provisions), Chef Eric Gantz (MANNA), Chef Anthony Bonett (Moshulu), Chef Ari Miller (Musi), Chef Kiki Aranita (Poi Dog), Chef Aaron Paik (Rex at the Royal), and Chefs Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran (Safran Turney Hospitality.)
