Brunch / Pennsport

Brunch at Musi BYOB Starts this Sunday

Musi BYOB, the ‘Israeli-ish’ restaurant from Chef Ari Miller located at 100 Morris Street in Philadelphia’s Pennsport neighborhood, has introduced Sunday brunch to the restaurant’s repertoire for the first time since opening their doors in early 2019.

Since being forced to close its doors and then pivot at the beginning of the pandemic, Musi operated primarily as FrizWit, a sandwich pop-up featuring a number of Philly classics, sides, and specials from Miller, until Musi reopened for full-service dinner in early February.

Now, Miller has introduced ‘FrizWit’ Sunday Brunch, which he calls “half Philly, half Tel Aviv.” The menu, which will evolve over time, is highlighted by “Eggs in a Pretz” – a house-made, crispy soft pretzel with two pastured, golden-yolked farm eggs, topped with triple-cream feta from Birchrun Hills Farm, and served with a Green Tahina Chopped Salad. The rest of the menu includes BrunchWit (a FrizWit or ShroomWit sandwich with a fried egg on top); Huevos Ramenados; a BLT Sourdough Biscuit Sandwich; a Mushroom Scrapple Biscuit Sandwich; house-made laffa bead; thick-cut bacon from Green Meadow Farm; and more. Turkish coffee from Rival Bros., freshly squeezed orange juice, and iced rice tea are also available.

Brunch will run Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Walk-in seating will be available, and reservations can be made at http://exploretock.com/musi.
