Looking for a new brunch spot in Philadelphia? Here’s one!
There’s a particular kind of brunch that lands somewhere between leisurely weekend ritual and quiet indulgence, where the cocktails arrive cold, the bread comes warm from the oven, and no one seems in a rush to leave. That’s the lane Terra Grill appears to be carving out this season with a chef-driven brunch from Laurent Tourondel that leans polished without becoming precious.
The menu takes a wood-fired approach, pairing familiar brunch comfort with more refined touches. You could start by passing around Monkey Bread layered with whiskey caramel sauce, toasted pecans, and orange butter while spritzes and watermelon mimosas hit the table. From there, brunch can shift into heartier territory with Steak N’ Eggs accompanied by hen-of-the-woods mushrooms and hand-cut fries, or stay on the sweeter side with Brioche French Toast topped with rum-raisin banana and Frangelico Chantilly.
Elsewhere, the menu folds in dishes like smoked salmon toast with avocado and peas, Ahi Tuna & Caviar Deviled Eggs, and a Lamb Mezze Rigatoni Bolognese that feels more like a lingering lunch than a traditional brunch plate.
The drink program is an equally important part of the experience. Alongside classics like Bloody Marys and mimosas, signature cocktails such as a Tiramisu Espresso cocktail and the mezcal-driven Smokin’ Gun suggest that lingering over one more round may be part of the plan.
And perhaps that’s the appeal: a tucked-away courtyard patio, oversized umbrellas, and a brunch menu that seems built for spring weekends where one course quietly turns into another.
Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
Terra Grill is located at 1099 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, PA 19123.
