Westmont NJ’s Treno Pizza Bar, the casual Italian eatery owned and operated by P.J.W. Restaurant Group, known for their wood-fired pizza and classic Italian dishes is excited to introduce several new menu items to complement the current offerings. From starters to sandwiches and salads, Treno welcomes a slew of additions to the much-loved Italian pizza and wine bar.
Diners are invited to kick off their meal with a selection of new starters like the ‘Gnocchi Primavera’ [$9] with tomato, zucchini, peas, parmesan, basil or the ‘Treno Board’ [$14] featuring prosciutto di parma, house-cured meat, robiola, caciocavallo, roasted pepper, olive, and crostini. Fresh salads include the ‘Italian Chopped Salad’ [$10] blending radicchio, romaine, olives, provolone, pepperoncini, salumi, cucumber and parmesan, topped with a red wine vinaigrette, and a new list of entrée salads like the ‘Salmon & Apricot’ [$14] with grilled salmon filet, endive, frisée, dried apricots and chopped cashews mixed with a lemon poppy vinaigrette. The ‘Porchetta’ [$11] sandwich with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and long hots join the list of sandwich dishes that come with fresh, hand-cut fries.
Treno’s pizza options have also expanded to include three additions to the wood-fired pizza selections. The pizza menu now includes a kid-friendly ‘Cheese Pizza’ [$10] for picky pizza lovers along with the unique ‘Roasted Squash’ [13] topped with yellow squash, tomato, fontina, oregano, and chili flakes. The ‘Calabrian’ [$13] is topped with house-made chili sausage, red onion, mozzarella, roasted corn, with red sauce.
Rounding out the menu, a new section of entrees has debuted. Guests can choose from ‘Brick Oven Roasted Chicken’ [$16] with rosemary roasted potatoes, cippolini onions and sweet balsamic or ‘Pan Seared Scallops’ [$21] mixed with corn and asparagus risotto and fresh herbs. Before the night ends, Treno’s take on ‘Tiramisu’ [$6] with sweet mascarpone, ladyfingers, and fig jam will tempt sweet tooth’s along with Treno’s much-loved rotating selection of house-made gelato flavors.
