Waffatopia®, the premier U.S. purveyor of Belgian Liège-style caramelized waffles delivered right to your door is celebrating National Waffle Day in a BIG way this year! The Conshohocken-based company has planned not one, but four giveaways AND a donation drive to help Philabundance — the region’s largest hunger relief organization.
Andrea and Brian Polizzi Co-Founders & Chief Waffatiers will load up their “Waffamobile” this Thursday, August 24th (National Waffle Day) to hand out free waffles at breakfast and lunch in Center City, Philadelphia.
Waffatopia will be outside Suburban Station at 17th & JFK Boulevard between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. to pass out their freshly baked Belgian Liège waffles to commuters heading to work. Then, between noon and 2 p.m. the “Waffamobile” will post up at 18th and Walnut Streets on Rittenhouse Square with more free waffles for lunchtime indulging.
For those who won’t be in the city on National Waffle Day, the Polizzis have expanded their celebration to include free waffles (1 per customer) for everyone who shows up at their Conshohocken Waffatopia facility on Friday, August 25th from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, August 26th between 10 a.m. and noon.
In conjunction with the giveaways, Waffatopia will donate 1 lb. of waffles to Philabundance for every box of waffles purchased on http://www.waffatopia.com between National Waffle Day and Saturday, August 26th at midnight.
I love me some Waffatopia so go out there and get some!
