This past Tuesday, a bunch of other foodie/lifestyle bloggers and myself dropped in on Foo Kitchen located at 1301 Vine Street for a meetup to try some tasty Mexi-Asian fusion tacos.
The brick and mortar location of the popular Foo Truck opened at 13th and Vine last Fall. Gregarious owner George Pan’s motto is “everything fresh” and made-from-scratch. There’s not a freezer or microwave on premise. Trust me, I looked. 😉

These aren’t your usual tacos; they’re eclectic and pack a lot of flavor. These handheld darlings offer creative ingredient pairings that complement each other and showcase freshness. We all agreed that all of the tacos were great, but I believe there was a clear favorite of the evening; we all raved about the Pork Belly & Chinese Sausage Taco which came with carrot daikon slaw, chipotle crema, queso, and cilantro. A home run for sure!
They offer regular yellow corn tortillas as well as blue corn tortillas. So tasty and pretty!
Do you know what goes great with tacos? Margaritas! Foo Kitchen is BYOB – they have glasses, mixers, and fixins to make you the perfect drink!
You’ll definitely also want to check out Foo Kitchen on the weekends too for brunch! Open from 8AM-4PM, they’ve got traditional brunch items and non-traditional Asian-inspired dishes sure to please.
Check it out and tell them Philly Grub sent you!
