Gypsy Saloon in Conshohocken Announces New Chef, New Menu & Updated Décor

Gypsy Saloon Conshohocken New Chef, Menu & Decor

All that glitters is gold…at least when it comes to the iconic Gypsy Saloon in West Conshohocken. Already known as a neighborhood “hot spot” thanks to its cozy, eclectic flare and modern, approachable fare, owners Kim Strengari and Marianne Gere have announced that they have, once again, stepped up their game.

The dynamic duo have, first, brought Chef Tim Kane on board to help expand the menu to include dishes that vary from more of a “gastro pub” type feel to robust, pasta dishes that are fit for sharing. Kane, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the restaurant industry, most recently worked as the executive chef at the Garrett Hill Ale House in Bryn Mawr, PA and prior to that served as the sous chef at the General Warren Inn in Malvern, PA.

Signature new items include Blackened Shrimp or Ahi Tuna Tacos, Crepe Lasagna, which is made with four layers, house marina, Bolognese and ricotta cheese, Homemade Crab Ravioli with saffron cream sauce, wild mushrooms and leeks, Crazy Truffle Fries with short rib, truffle oil, bleu cheese sauce, and brown gravy and more.

In addition to the new menu, Gypsy Saloon’s decor has also undergone a makeover. Making sure to keep the intimate, eccentric vibe that its loyal customers have come to love, Gere and Strengari selected a similar color palate only a few shades richer and with more texture. Walls were also hand-painted with elegant floral stenciling for extra effect and light fixtures replaced with vintage inspired hanging lanterns and blown glass bulbs.

Gypsy Saloon is located at 128 Ford St, Conshohocken and hosts many specials throughout the week, happy hour daily at the bar from 5 PM to 7 PM and brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM.
