Philly Grub attended FEASTIVAL last night at FringeArts (140 N. Columbus Blvd) for the first time ever! Crazy, I know.
Despite the lousy weather, it was everything I thought it would be and more. It was a spectacular night of impeccably prepared food and drink; showcasing the best of the culinary scene in Philadelphia right now. There was no way to eat or drink it all, but it was all good and too hard to pick favorites.
It was a feast for the senses, too. The space was transformed into a Big Top as performers from Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and Circadium School were performing aerial acrobatics high above the crowd and other circus arts on the ground. Simply dazzling!
Other, non-edible and undrinkable, stimulating highlights from the event were the PECO Ice Bar…
…Former Philadelphia Mayor and Pennsylvania Governor Ed “Fast Eddie” Rendell…
…sweet Audi sports cars….
…and Hugo Frog from Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House… (hehe)
…Just to name a few.
Of course seeing all of the chefs, cooks, and hospitality industry people that I respect and admire up-close and personal under one roof (or tent, in this case) was personally awesome. I could go on and on about that, the food, the drinks, the scene, but it really needs to be experienced to get it. It’s not to be missed.
Simply put, it really doesn’t get any better or classier in Philly food scene than the Audi Feastival benefiting FringeArts. Already can’t wait until next year!
