Scenes from Flavors of the Avenue

It was a beautiful day on East Passyunk Avenue today and people came out in droves to soak in the Springtime sun and sample all of the world-class cuisine that the neighborhood has to offer.

The tent was already in full-swing by the time we got there at 12:15pm. There were lines already for some restaurants, and there was still a line outside to get in.

We didn’t get to try everything, but among our favorites were P’unk Burger’s Pulled Portobello BBQ Slider, El Sarape’s Tacos Al Pastor, Bing Bing Dim Sum’s BBQ Pork Egg Roll, Sate Kampar’s Atchat (Pickled Veggies), Stogie Joe’s Meatballs, Brigantessa’s Lamb Belly Bruschetta, and Will BYOB’s Chilled Corn Bisque.

A brilliant event that allows you to taste a little of each restaurant and sample some local and regional beers and cocktails, too. We weren’t able to get into the VIP tent, but it was quite packed, too.

We took some pictures of the event and shared on our Facebook (link). The restaurants on East Passyunk Avenue are some of the best in the city. EPX is a must-visit destination for any foodie in the city or traveler who seeks a great meal in the city.

We also strolled through Crafty Balboa, the pop-up craft bazaar by the Singing Fountain. It was great day on the Avenue. Were you there? What were your favorites?
