Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, the popular Old City establishment, is celebrating 15 years with an Anniversary Fiesta on Wednesday, April 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the restaurant.
Chef Guillermo Pernot and his partners Larry Cohen and Barry Gutin invite “amigos” of the four-city Cuban restaurant group to celebrate with an evening of unlimited Cuban food, signature cocktails, live DJ, dancing and giveaways at the $35 ticketed event.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating an incredible 15 years of the Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar brand, and its Old City location, and look forward to seeing old friends, longtime fans, and Philadelphia foodies at our anniversary party,” said Pernot.
A $35 general admission ticket includes two mini cocktails, unlimited servings of a whole roasted pig, seafood paella, classic tapas items and decadent desserts, plus a champagne toast, photo opportunities with a custom 1956 Ford Victoria low rider car provided by Kerbeck, and a spin at the prize wheel.
VIP tickets are also available for $65 and include the aforementioned items, plus an open bar for the entire event, rum tastings and the opportunity to win a signed copy of Chef Pernot’s James Beard Award-winning cookbook, ¡Ceviche!
Tickets to the festive anniversary event are available online through TicketLeap or can be purchased at the restaurant. Additional information or questions can be directed to info@cubalibrerestaurant.com.
Cuba Libre started as a vibrant window into a distant culture in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood 15 years ago. Today, their four locations in Philadelphia, PA; Atlantic City, NJ; Orlando, FL and Washington, DC are transportive restaurants whose decor and menu evoke the still forbidden pleasures of Cuba.
Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at 10 S. 2nd Street in Philadelphia, PA, serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Dinner is served Monday through Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., Thursday through Saturday until 11 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. On weekend nights from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m., Cuba Libre transforms into a lively nightspot as a DJ spins salsa, bachata and other popular Latin dance music.
