Chocolate & Wine Pairings by Fine Wine & Good Spirits with Bonus Cocktail Recipe

Fine Wine & Good Spirits shared some chocolate and wine pairing ideas with us, so if you’re looking for some Valentine’s Day inspiration, we got you covered.

You can enjoy these whether you’re coupled up or single.

I’m also including a cocktail idea they provided below.

  • Milk chocolate: The sweetness in Ruby Port, Brachetto, Pinot Noir, Riesling, or a light-bodied Merlot complement the sweet, melt in your mouth texture and taste.
  • Dark chocolate: Robust wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Madeira and Zinfandel complement the heaviness of dark chocolate.
  • White chocolate: Coffee-flavored liqueurs, Moscato d’Asti, Sherry, Muscat or a fruit Chardonnay will pick up the buttery and fatty tones.
