Sogno Philly and Williams-Sonoma have teamed up to present instructional events this Fall at the premier culinary retailer’s Center City store located inside the Hyatt at The Bellevue at Broad and Walnut Streets. The cooking classes will be around various food themes lead by esteemed Philadelphia chefs and other culinary instructors. Each attendee will receive one hour of teaching and enjoy a meal.
The first event, an intimate chef’s table demonstration, is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th between 6:30pm–8:00pm. The theme will spotlight “Homemade Hand Crafted Pasta” featuring an Italian dinner representing beautiful fall flavors with instruction provided by Chef Joe Polutro of South Philadelphia. Attendees will be up close and personal while Chef Joe demonstrates; and will be able to ask questions as well as converse with the Chef. This event is sponsored by Whole Foods Market South Street.
Chef Polutro will demonstrate his secret in making fresh pasta. The evening will start with a first course Bruschetta with Organic Heirloom Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella, topped with imported Prosciutto Di Parma, and finished with a rich aged balsamic vinegar and fresh basil. The second course will be Tuscan-style Organic Veal and Sausage in a fresh organic tomato sauce with Toasted Fennel Seeds and Herb Ricotta served over Homemade Fettuccine. The evening will end with complimentary dessert and coffee.
Tickets are being sold in advance of each event on the Sogno Philly website: http://www.sognophilly.com/tickets-1.
