The good people at Pinkberry got in touch to tell me about their new tantalizing summer frozen yogurt flavors — Strawberry Margarita and Blueberry.
I told them I would be honored to try some so they hooked me up with a reward so that I could go to the nearest Pinkberry to me to sample them. Finally today, I was able to venture down to the Marlton, NJ Pinkberry store which is located in The Promenade at Sagemore.
I asked for a small sample of each flavor. Both were a bit too tart for my liking today, though I preferred the Strawberry Margarita. Which, despite the name, is an alcohol-free fruity, citrus flavor made with real strawberries and lime juice. The lime juice makes it extra snappy so if you like that, go for it. They also have a triple berry sugar salt topping for a fun “margarita-like experience.” The Blueberry had a nice sweet blueberry flavor, but it wasn’t blowing my skirt up today.

There are 8 flavors of frozen yogurt, including a non-dairy option, at Pinkberry. You can also get smoothies.
Besides for the new summer flavors, the base flavors are: original (plain), vanilla bean, chocolate churro, chocolate hazelnut, cookies and cream, and dairy-free tropical mango.
There are many toppings to choose from including all of the usual suspects like sprinkles, chocolate chips, cookie pieces, candy pieces as well as a variety of dried and fresh hand-cut fruit, nuts and cereals, and syrups. The possibilities are endless. There are a few “premium” toppings that will cost you extra, though. So be aware of that.
All of the flavors and toppings were tempting. I was especially happy to see they offer a non-dairy option. But I just wasn’t in the mood for the tropical mango today. While I’m lactose-intolerant, a small portion of frozen yogurt doesn’t seem to make me sick. So I opted for a small vanilla bean frozen yogurt with mini peanut butter cups, chocolate and rainbow sprinkles.
Delicious. An absolute perfect sweet and cool treat on a hot day!
I highly recommend checking out the new summer flavors. Try the Strawberry Margaria with the sugar salt topping and let me know what you think.
