Esposito’s Porchetta is moving forward with plans to expand its South Philadelphia operation after receiving permit approvals for construction.
The longtime family business plans to move its current prep operation next door into a completely remodeled commissary with a full kitchen. It will then renovate its existing location into a dedicated sandwich shop featuring Esposito’s specialties.
“We are moving our current operation next door to a completely remodeled commissary where we prep, with a full kitchen,” Esposito’s shared. “Remodeling the current location for sandwich operations and specialties.”
Located at 1627 S. 10th Street, Esposito’s is known for its Italian-style porchetta and roast pork, along with roast beef, broccoli rabe, long hot peppers, sharp provolone and other Philly sandwich essentials.
The expansion will give the business more room for production while creating a space focused specifically on its sandwich operation.
With permits now approved, construction can move forward. An opening timeline for the newly remodeled sandwich shop has not yet been announced.
