Editor Note: Congratulations to Amada in Radnor celebrating its 1st anniversary. The 200-seat space in Radnor Financial Center opened last year to much fanfare and has quickly become a favorite dining destination on the Main Line. Philly Grub correspondent Erin Flynn Jay attended the anniversary party and reports on the highlights.
For Amada Radnor’s 1st Anniversary Celebration, Chef Jose Garces hosted a special party with live music, flamenco dancing, brunch, and lite bites.

Loved two brunch dishes–the Tortilla Espanola and Sangria pancakes.

The Tortilla Espanola is a classic Spanish dish that is consumed in every region of Spain, and Garces has seen different iterations of it. Garces has been serving a Tortilla Espanola since 2005 in different versions, and he likes this one that they have. At Radnor, they cook it in a wood-fired oven, so it gets a bit of smokiness.
The Sangria pancakes are buttermilk pancakes with macerated sangria fruit and sangria syrup.

Amadaโs Spanish influence is fromย the Andalusian regionย in southern Spain. There are also some more Moroccan influences–dates, almonds, artichokes, and grilled seafood.
