The Dutch Revives A Fond Classic: Oysters & Rosé Every Thursday

The Dutch, the popular breakfast-through-dinner eatery with a focus on reinventing the Pennsylvania Dutch classics along with a few fine dining “Fond” favorites at dinner, is bringing back a fan-favorite pairing from its Fond days just in time for warmer temps and patio season, with the re-launch of Oysters & Rosé on Thursday, April 6.

Available every Thursday from 5pm – 9pm at the bar and patio overlooking East Passyunk Avenue, diners can now enjoy a half dozen oysters and glass of sparkling rosé in addition to perusing the hyper-seasonal The Dutch After Dark tasting menu. 

Prior to moving The Dutch to his celebrated Fond location on East Passyunk Avenue, Chef Lee Styer and team marked the start of the warm-weather season with Oysters & Rosé Thursdays, which The Dutch is now following suit. Kicking off on Thursday, April 6, guests can indulge in the iconic pairing for just $20 per person comprised of a half dozen oysters and a glass of sparkling rosé. This effervescent special will be featured every Thursday during dinner service throughout the spring and summer months. 

Additionally,The Dutch is continuing its über-popular prix fixe tasting menu with a refresh of its The Dutch After Dark. This multi-course experience priced at $60 per person (optional wine pairing +$18) allows guests the chance to customize their experience by choosing from a host of dishes across three courses, courtesy of Chef-Owners Lee Styer and Kevin Watters.

Current offerings include Roasted Cauliflower with saffron Greek yogurt, almonds, and black currants, Choucroute comprised of bratwurst, pork belly, house-made sauerkraut, confit cabbage, roasted potatoes and whole grain mustard, and Meyer Lemon Parfait with shortbread, pomegranate seeds, and whipped crème fraîche. 

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 8am – 3pm; Saturday and Sunday 8am – 2pm (brunch service) and Wednesday and Thursday 5 – 9pm; Friday and Saturday 5 – 10pm; Sunday from 5 – 9pm (dinner service).
