The Twisted Tail, the Southern-inspired restaurant, bar and live music venue on Headhouse Square, is celebrating the festive season with a Holiday Blues Brunch on Saturday, December 17 from noon until 3 pm with Philly-raised and NOLA-sculpted funky jazz pianist Reverend Chris delivering live blues renditions of classic holiday tunes. The modern-rustic restaurant and juke joint will be outfitted with seasonal decor to bolster the cozy ambiance, and the bar is set to feature traditional hot cocktails to accompany The Twisted Tail’s Southern comfort brunch menu.
Acclaimed musician, Reverend Chris, will set the mood as he plays blues variations of holiday favorites on his keyboard while guests enjoy Southern-inspired brunch highlights such as Crawfish Mac & Cheese, Cheesy Grits with sharp cheddar, bacon crumbles and an egg; Chicken & Waffle with bourbon batter and a winter spiced-maple syrup; Brioche French Toast, and more. Guests can pair their meal with a seasonal cocktail or Hot Apple Cider (spiked or non-alcoholic) while settling into the holiday spirit.
Sisterly Love Collective will be hosting its Merry Market in the Headhouse Shambles, located across the street from The Twisted Tail, from 12-4pm on December 17 so last minute shoppers can finish off their holiday lists and enjoy some deserved blues, brunch and bourbon before or after.
