Local Holiday Shopping at Riverwards Produce

Riverwards Produce Market, which has become a haven for shoppers looking to support local purveyors while stocking up for Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season, is hosting their Sixth Annual Holiday Shopping Event at both their Old City and Fishtown locations on Saturday, December 10th from noon to 3 p.m.

Customers looking to support and shop local can show up to either location for all their holiday needs during the three-hour event, where representatives from each local brand will be on hand manning tables while discussing and selling their respective products.

The Old City location, situated at 146 N. Bread Street, will feature the likes of Mother Butter; Mural City Cellars; Smith Poultry; Black Hippo BBQ; Sleeping Weather Studios; Flori Cupcakes; Ayoka Apothecary; Nether Providence Soap Co.; Triple Bottom Brewery; Bake Bake; and Working Class Coffee.

The Fishtown outpost, located at 2200 E. Norris Street, will feature Winefarm; Feel Goodies; Jarmel by Jarmel; Rocker’s Closet; Skinny Dipt; Sazon; Ebiah Pottery; and Bake Bake.

And for those who may not be in the shopping mood but are still looking to enjoy a delicious meal this Saturday, Black Hippo BBQ and Smith Poultry will be teaming up to offer a fresh BBQ lunch at the Old City location.

“We promote shopping local all year long, and there is no better time than now to support each other while welcoming in shoppers who need to get all of their holiday shopping done,” said Riverwards Produce owner Vincent Finazzo. “We will have some amazing artisans and local brands represented at both of our locations, and this is an event we look forward to every single year. Not only can customers come in and purchase items they may not find at their local grocery store, but to have representatives in our shops educating customers about the product is always an added bonus.”

Riverwards Produce provides unique, quality ingredients to creative chefs and neighbors alike while focusing on sourcing ingredients, produce, and proteins from farms located a short drive from Philly. Both locations are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
