Wilmington is on a hot streak! We visited earlier this year to take in the sights and culinary delights; since then, it has received even more prominent press. Conde Nast Traveler recently named it one of the Best Places To Go in the U.S. for 2023.
The highly anticipated Chancery Market Food Hall & Bar has opened, offering another place for residents, workers, and visitors downtown to find good eats. It’s been called a “game changer” with prestigious New York City-based vendors such as David Chang’s Fuku and Akhtar Nawab’s Kati Roll Wala featured.
Nawab’s Hospitality HQ developed the new concept and oversees management, ensuring it has a fighting chance to succeed… and I’m sure it will. Wilmington has been on the come up for several years now, with its restaurant scene a central part of the narrative, and it will continue to shine.
Other vendors include Toscana Pizza E Panini (pizza/Italian), Market Street Burger & Dog (burgers/hot dogs), Rooted AF (vegan), Oath 84 (cheffy food), and Espresso (coffee/breakfast).
I’m not sure who is running the “bar” part or what it includes, but I’ll share that information when it becomes available.
