New Liberty Distillery accepts award by American Distilling Institute

New Liberty Distillery, the Philadelphia craft distillery and home to spirit lines including the now-revived heritage Kinsey brand, has been announced as Distillery of the Year by the American Distilling Institute (ADI) with the noted annual Bubble Cap Award, which is given to distilleries making contributions to the industry by advancing modernized legislation and making world class spirits. At the 2022 ADI International Spirits Competition, New Liberty Distillery was also awarded one Gold Medal, six Silver Medals, and four Bronze Medals in various categories.

The American Distilling Institute (ADI), the oldest and largest organization of small-batch, independently owned distillers in the United States, hosted over a thousand spirits industry professionals and media members on Friday, September 16, 2022 for this year’s International Spirits Competition. New Liberty Distillery, winner of Distillery of the Year and the Bubble Cap award, met the eligibility requirements via their longtime support of the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, as well as their numerous awards in multiple spirits competitions. This exciting win arrives on the heels of the announcement of former Philadelphia Eagle Malcolm Jenkins to the Millstone Spirits Group Board of Investors, alongside New Liberty Distillery Founder and Millstone Spirits CEO Robert Cassell, as well as Millstone Spirit Groups’ $1.4 million acquisition of Faber Distilling.

“It’s a huge honor to receive the Bubble Cap Award for Distillery of the Year, and we’re all very proud,” said Robert Cassell, Owner and Master Distiller of New Liberty Distillery and CEO of Millstone Spirits. “The ADI is one of the most respected organizations in the spirits world, and we look forward to entering the competition every year.”

Under Cassell’s hand, New Liberty Distillery took home an impressive eleven medals at the 2022 American Distilling Institute Spirits Competition, including a Gold Medal for Kinsey Rye Whiskey, Silver Medals for ALCO Ready to Drink Vodka Soda, New Liberty Distillery Bloody Butcher Bourbon, New Liberty Distillery Bloody Butcher Sour Mash Bourbon, Kinsey Pot Distilled Wheat Whiskey, New Liberty Distillery Liberty Belle Coffee Liqueur, New Liberty Distillery Liberty Belle Creme de Violette, and Bronze Medals for ALCO Ready to Drink Gin & Tonic and Orange Crush, and New Liberty Distillery Kinsey Bourbon.
