Sisterly Love Collective Hosts Inaugural Women’s History Month Event

The Sisterly Love Collective (part of Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia), chaired by local luminaries Jezabel Careaga, Jennifer Carroll, Jill Weber, Ellen Yin, and Executive Director, Robin Broughton Smith, is hosting “Sisterly Love Work / Shop” in partnership with The Deacon in recognition of Women’s History Month. The summit and reception, a first of its kind for the Collective, will take place on Monday, March 28, starting at 1PM.

Sisterly Love Work / Shop will feature a half-day workshop featuring a mix of panels and demos at the intersection of food, business, and lifestyle intended to engage, inspire and inform entrepreneurs in hospitality and beyond. Immediately following the workshop will be a cocktail reception featuring a variety of dishes from an exclusively female roster of top chefs and restaurateurs in Philadelphia.

Work / Shop is entirely open to the public and will prominently feature the expertise of the Sisterly Love Collective leadership team, Ellen Yin, Jennifer Carroll, and Jill Weber — a group of women known to be passionate about mentorship and innovation in hospitality. Guests are also invited to shop vendors who will be selling their women-owned and made goods in a pop-up Sisterly Love Food Fair all throughout the day.

All proceeds from the auction go directly to the non-profit so it can grow its membership base and continue to offer networking and growth opportunities for women carving out careers in our industry. The online auction platform will be open to the public — even those not attending the event.
