The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia Celebrates National Root Beer Float Day

On Monday, August 6, The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia will celebrate National Root Beer Float Day by offering guests and visitors a complimentary root beer float in the lobby between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

They will be accepting donations for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Marriott International (a majority owner of The Ritz-Carlton) raises funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Locally in Philadelphia, the Children’s Miracle Network contributes funds to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Fun fact: Marriott was founded by John Willard Marriott in 1927 when he and his wife, Alice Sheets Marriott, opened a root beer stand in Washington, D.C. So, it makes sense the multinational hospitality company would celebrate the day in this fashion.

Enjoy a root beer float and contribute to a great cause!
