On National Pretzel Day, Philly Pretzel Factory will celebrate its fans by giving away pretzels for the eleventh consecutive year. With more than 170 locations, the nation’s largest Philly-style pretzel brand is expecting to distribute more than 50,000 pretzels this year.
On Thursday, April 26, Philly Pretzel Factory will offer a pretzel to every guest who enters the store in honor of the national holiday! Furthermore, the first 100 customers at each location will receive a coupon for a free pretzel each day in May. Pretzel-rama!
I was excited to learn more so I sent some questions over to PPF President Marty Ferrill to get the low down on their big day:
Philly Grub: Is Philly Pretzel Factory doing a special pretzel or promotion for National Pretzel Day?
Marty Ferrill: Yes, we’re giving away one free pretzel to everyone who walks through our doors at traditional and Walmart locations on Thursday, April 26th.
PG: How many pretzels does PPF expect to give away on National Pretzel Day?
MF: We are planning to give away more than 50,000 pretzels on our favorite holiday.
PG: How many locations does PPF have now?
MF: We currently have 170 locations open, from Massachusetts to Florida and out west to Nevada.
PG: Are there any new menu items in development or planned to be rolled out in 2018?
MF: We have a research and development team constantly in the test kitchen. There’s nothing we can talk about just yet, but we are huge fans of our mini pretzel dogs.
PG: Anything else newsworthy worth mentioning?
MF: This is a very special year for us. It’s our 20th Anniversary! We’ll also be opening new locations and expanding across the U.S. in states like Florida and Texas.
