Kreider Farms Introduces Lactose-Free Ice Cream

Kreider Farms Lactose Free Ice Cream

Kreider Farms, one of America’s most progressive and innovative egg and dairy farms, has introduced Farm Fresh Premium Lactose Free Vanilla Ice Cream. Available in a one-quart retail package, the lactose-free ice cream, like Kreider’s lactose-free milk introduced in 2017, is specifically made for local distribution within 150 miles of where it is produced.

“Our 100% Lactose Free Ice Cream satisfies the preferences of today’s consumers for fresh, local, small-batch foods that aren’t mass produced and aren’t overly processed,” said Dave Andrews, vice-president of sales and marketing for Kreider Farms. “We produce everything here on our own dairy farm in Lancaster County. Our products are then loaded onto our trucks for delivery to our local retailers and distributors. That’s what we call ‘farm fresh!’”

Kreider Farms’ 100% Lactose Free Ice Cream has all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients of regular ice cream but without lactose, a type of natural sugar found in ice cream and other dairy products that makes it difficult for some people to digest these products.

“A number of studies show that more than half the world’s population has a reduced ability to digest lactose,” said Andrews. “With our new lactose-free ice cream, even customers who are lactose intolerant can enjoy the great taste of Kreider’s local, farm fresh ice cream. The flavor, taste and texture is amazing. Even Kreider samplers couldn’t tell the difference between our regular and lactose-free ice cream.”

Kreider Farms’ 100% Lactose Free Ice Cream can be purchased in select supermarkets and farm markets in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
